Imagine! A grown man running around the city pulling women’s pants down.

He will be caught.

In the mean time, there is no need to feel fearful or limit our activities. Let’s not give him that kind of power.

Have you ever gone for a drive and not remembered the trip? Or gotten out of the shower not sure if you washed your hair? This is what we call Code White.

It is a: “checked-out, Elvis-has-left-the-building” state of awareness that petty criminals and cowardly sexual predators (like the pantsing guy) are looking for. If you “people-watch” in a crowded place, you can pick out those that are in this state.

How do you stay aware? Notice things. Walk out the door in the morning with the mindset “I might have to defend my self today.” Feel powerful and give yourself permission to defend yourself if needed. As you walk, look from side to side, occasionally look behind you. This is Code Yellow. We want to be in Code Yellow most of the time. Code Yellow is not fearful or paranoid. It’s just attentive.

An action is faster than a reaction. What’s faster than an action? An action already in motion. Be the action already in motion.
